Abstract

The objective of every business organization is to make profit and take care of the public interest. In order to achieve this objective, it is the effort of every organization that the amount of profit received should not only be more in absolute terms, but also in relative terms, that is, the amount of profit used in that organization should be sufficient in comparison to other resources. Profitability is an important index of the health of any business organization, whether it is public sector or private. Under profitability, the earning power of the resources used in the organization is studied. Generally, the profitability of the organization helps in maintaining the present existence of the organization and gives direction for the future.
